Powerful Explosions and Smoke Reported in the Heart of Tehran
According to eyewitness accounts, two loud blasts were audible in Tehran on Saturday morning. Simultaneously, two plumes of dense smoke were observed rising over the centre and east of the Iranian capital.
“The nature of these blasts suggests that this is a missile attack,” a media outlet stated, without initially offer additional information.
Background: Escalating Tensions and Recent Events
The incident takes place against a backdrop of sharply increased tensions in the Middle East. Key developments preceding this attack involve:

- Diplomatic Negotiations: Latest talks between the United States and Iranian officials on Tehran's nuclear programme ended inconclusively, with indications of more talks planned.
- Public Statements: Before the strike, a prominent American figure had labeled Iran as “the world’s number one sponsor of terror” and issued warnings regarding its missile program.
- Ultimatum: Reportedly, a time limit of 10 to 15 days had been presented to Iran to resolve the atomic standoff or face serious repercussions.
Reaction from Tehran

The situation remains fluid, with further updates anticipated as events unfold.
