'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his interest in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the first important achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he earlier was, and would certainly think about lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
