I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
